Abraxas
Liza Phoenix, 2005
This fantastical creature is a
true Worm; its tail is perfectly curled and tapered and its two limbs
support its wings, gracefully unfurled in a proud stance. No shy retiring
type this creature; it looks directly at the viewer, challenging and
mesmerising as it glows from the canvas in blood-red splendour. A true
fire-dragon, its inner heat leaching through its scales giving it a
shimmering quality. Its smouldering gaze evokes the intensity of a firebrand
and just as a python would hold a watcher spellbound, can you draw your
eyes for long from this magnificent creature?
