Guivre
A snakelike creature with a huge dragon head.
The female may occasionally bite off the head of the male and eat it during mating but this is the exception rather than the rule.
If a pregnant female is trapped or in distress she will not be able to give birth to her young and she will die. The babies may be able to bite their way out of her body and survive by feeding on her corpse.
Guivres will not hesitate to attack. If you encounter one, immediately begin running while removing your clothes. The guivre will stop and eat each article of clothing that you drop, hopefully allowing you time to escape.
Found near freshwater lakes, ponds, swamps, rivers, and wells.
Similar to the wyrm and often said to be similar to the wyvern.
Also known as wivre, and viper.
