Mothman Mothman

The mothman is a winged humanoid with glowing red eyes, he may appear to have no head as if his eyes are set in his chest.

He is well over six feet tall with a wingspan of 10 feet and looks "like an angel." His body and wings are dark gray or brown and he can fly. When he flies he takes off straight up like a helicopter, and has been said to fly without flapping his wings.

He first appeared around 1966 in the Ohio Valley of West Virginia, with most sightings occurring in Point Pleasant.

The mothman has the ability to foretell the future, mostly death and destruction, and is most well known for predicting the incident on the Silver Bridge of the Ohio River, where 46 people died when the bridge collapsed during rush hour.

The mothman has been associated with UFO sightings, MIB encounters, animal mutilations, and poltergeist activity.

He could be an alien, a misidentified bird, or a hoax.
