Ziz
King of the birds, an enormous bird whose head touches the sky while its feet rest on the ground, its wings eclipse the sun and protect the earth from wind storms.
At the End of Days, the flesh of the Ziz will be consumed by the pious along with the Behemoth, and the Leviathan.
Also known as Renanim, the celestial singer; Sekwi, the seer; and "son of the nest" because the baby birds are hatched directly from the nest rather than being hatched by the mother bird.
