Zombie Zombie

A reanimated corpse that feeds on human flesh. Zombies will eat any kind of meat including rotting carcasses but prefer living flesh, especially human brains.

Most zombies are created using Voodoo. After a person becomes a zombie, it has no will of its own and must obey the Voodoo master who created it. They have no memory, no soul, and little or no intelligence.

They suffer from extreme joint stiffness which severely restricts their movement, most are able to do little more than shuffle slowly about.

Zombies can perform some of the simple tasks that they were able to perform while alive but are unable to acquire new skills.

Nearly all zombies lose 100% of their ability to speak immediately. Then, other than the acute joint stiffness, they appear almost normal for an undetermined period of time. After that they fall into a stupor and begin to develop a sever skin condition that resembles leprosy. A short time later their bodies completely break down and their brains fall out. They cannot be revived at this point.

Becoming infected with certain types of alien viruses can also cause a person to become a zombie. These viruses are highly contagious and are spread through sexual intercourse, direct contact with infected blood or saliva, and from an infected mother to her unborn child.

An alien virus zombie is almost identical to the Voodoo variety, the main difference being that it does not have to obey a master.

Generally, only humans become zombies but occasionally an animal may become infected. Animal zombies deteriorate very quickly which is probably why they are seldom seen.

There is no known cure for zombism. It may be prevented by avoiding all contact with infected persons, especially direct contact with any blood or body organs. Sorcery may also be used as a preventative.

The only way to destroy a zombie is to separate its brain and/or upper spinal cord from the rest of its body.

Also known as Zombi.
